Your weekly icebreaker
What job do you know you’d be good at, even though you have no prior experience?
I asked this prompt in a few meetings last week, and I really loved some of the creative answers:
Corporate party planner
President (tbqh anyone would be better than what we have now)
DMV agent
Small-town deli owner
Surf shop owner in Hawaii
Owner and operator of a bed and breakfast
Head coach for a women’s gymnastics team, specifically a team in the SEC
Live-aboard dive boat operator
Death doula
Plus, a lot of people who claim they’d be excellent DJs or bartenders.
Personally, I know in my heart of hearts I could run a successful frozen yogurt shop. We overcorrected on the froyo bubble: what once was objectively too many froyo shops has now left us in a desert. You can’t find a good tart yogurt inside the District of Columbia. And I think it’s my calling to bring one back. Have I ever even worked in food service? No. But I know what the people want.
What’s the job you know you’d crush with little to no experience? Tell me:
Until next week,
Danielle

Small-town deli owner sounds cool, I'm stealing that one.
